CONTEMPORARY ART FOUNDATION CORE PURPOSE

Contemporary Art Foundation (CAF) is a not-for-profit organisation based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. CAF promotes, encourages and supports the arts through programmes and organisations that contribute meaningfully to developing artists, audiences and the sector. It does this through the provision of property/facilities, grants/loans, and strategic leadership to organisations and groups that are involved with the arts in any form. 

CAF aims:

  • To play a significant role in the arts and culture sector in Aotearoa New Zealand, supporting collaboration, sustainability and equity.

  • To increase opportunities for artist development within Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally.

  • To support relationships and practices which give expression to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
